Kudos to Adam Gilchirst

It was sad that Gilchirst has announced his retirement from international cricket. I still remember that when Steve waugh asked Gilchirst to open the one day innings for Australia, from that day he has been teriffic wicket keeper batsman for Australia. His contribution to Australian Cricket is Phenomenal. Cricket fans all over the world watch TV and go to cricket grounds to see this terrfic wicket keeper batsman play.

I must say he is one of the greatest wicket keeper batsman played this game of cricket. He was nightmare for the most of the fast & spin bowler.

I personally liked Gilchirst because of his terrific talent to play cricketing shots all over the ground. One of the few Australians who doesn't sledge and play the cricket straight. Cricket Australia will defintely miss your services and you have silenced all your critics.

Bye Bye Gilly.

Admission to LKG

Getting admission to LKG in Chennai top schools would be priority of every parent. We had to take our son for an interview on saturday(19-Jan-08) for a school based in Anna Nagar for LKG admission. While filling the application form, we have to fill some amount towards school contribution in a white paper attached to it. I have filled the amount which is affordable to me, though I thought that amount itself is very huge for LKG admission.

My son has done the interview well and I am hoping he will get through without issues. Some people were saying recommendations is needed and others telling to fill extra amount in order to get the admission. I haven't done both(extra amount & recommendations) & hoping for the admission to go through.

I am also going to try the school which is nearer to my place. But I couldn't try the admission for other top schools because of the distance more than 7 kms and some school demand kids should have completed 3.6 yrs.

Annanagar school itself is very far for my place for a LKG kid

LKG Admission is getting tougher & tougher atleast in Chennai as far I know.

The above 2 temples are in Tamil Nadu but following Kerala style of workship.

Note: In the 11 Temples in Kerala , find the equivalent name of temple\places in Malayalam to identify the places quicker. Please check the temple timings before starting to any temples. The thumb rule is that always start early and visit the temple. Generally temples will be opened from 4.30 AM to 11.30 AM and evening 5 PM to 8.00 PM this will vary based on the places.

It was personal statisifaction to me as covered 90 Divya Desams of the 108. 9 more in north & 7 more in South in Tamil Nadu. 2 temples are not present in this world.

Thanking Sri Ramanuja & Lord Vishnu for making the Malai Naadu Thirupathi a grand success.
