SQL server 2000 Installation Problem

One of the Team members was trying to install SQL Server2000 in his desktop and was facing the problem "A previous installation was not complete and was asking for reboot of the machine". We tried rebooting the system and I know for sure It was do with the Registry Settings and I tired deleting the registry entry of sql server. Finally we found that from Microsoft KB that some other registry key needs to be deleted.
