SQL Server 2005 Installation

For installation of SQL Server 2005
1. You need 1GB of RAM ,
2. You need Windows Installer3.1 installed in the machine and also Microsoft check while Genuine OS installation while downloading the same from Microsoft Site.

I installed SQL Server2005 successfully in my Desktop yesterday.

Happy Independence Day

India is celebrating its 60th Independence today. I wish all my Indian readers a happy Independence day today(15-Aug-2006).I spend some time watching TV, the thing is that the all programs in TV are cinema oriented and every thing has become Commercialized. Today My hard disc crashed and I have to buy a new Hard Disc and I got my desktop up and running late in the evening today. I have installed Office 2003 and set up internet connection to get things moving. I also increased my RAM to 1 GB to install VS.Net2005 and SQL Server2005.I have spend nearly Rs10,000 for 1GB RAM and DVD R/W drive and 80 GB Hard Disc.

Visual Studio And Anthem Problems

Yesterday(31-Jul-2006) in one of my team member machine there was problem with Visual Studio 2003, it said the exection engine could not be started and we were not able to open any Web Page(aspx) in the project. Finally we reinstalled Framework1.1 and it worked.


Today(01-Aug-2006) we had a problem that Anthem auto suggest TextBox, we had AutoSuggest textbox and Treeview control in an aspx page when the autosuggest textbox was loaded it was showing the popup listbox inside a Iframe for a fraction of second since we were loading tree view in the page. We commented the IFRAMe Rendering code in Anthem and then popup was not showing.
