Visited Cuddalore Yesterday

Yesterday we visited two more Vaishanava Divya Desam adding our tally to 51/108. First we visited Lakshmi Hayagirivar temple in Cuddalore and then we visited Ulagalantha temple in Thirukoilyur which is 1 hour drive from Cuddalore. There are some problems with our vehicle and we thought temple would be closed. But the temple was opened till 12.30 PM and we are fortunate to get the blessing of god. We couldn't visit any more temple as our vehicle got flat.

There was reckless driving by the lorry drivers, buses drivers and including our driver in National Highway 45 and other places.

Traffic Mess

I have been travelling to Tidel Park for nearly a month and the traffic mess from Adyar to Thoriapakkam is really horrible. From Tidel Park to Madhay Kilas it takes 30-40 minutes. I was wondering what the traffic police is regulating the traffic at all particularly at evening time and I am not sure what the govenment is doing regarding the time taken to relay the roads taking so much time, IT companies which brings major revenue to the country deserves proper infrastruture.

Training FeedBack on ASP.Net

I wrote my earlier blog about the training I took for Entry Level Trainee for my company I got the feeback day before yesterday they have rated me as Good. For Hands on session they have rated Faculties effectiveness was rated as 68% and for Expert lecture on Compreshensive View on ASP.Net they have rated as 70%.

Visit to Vaishanav Temple in Sirkhazi, Chidamabaram and Nangur

Sep 2006 month end was a long week end as Oct 2 2006 Gandhi Jayanthi fell on a Monday so we decided to spend the weekend by visting the Vaishanav temples. There are totally combined 18 Vaishanav Divya desam temples in Sirkhazi, Chidamabaram and Nangur of the 108 Vaishanav temples which are spread across India and Nepal. We are able to visit only 13 of the 18 temples.

We are foruntate to visit those 13 temples with my 1.5yrs kid on a saturday most auspicious day for Lord Vishnu. There are special pooja being done ANNANAN Permual koil in Nangoore. Since there are no hotels around we were foruntate to have food in one of the Bhatacharaya house. I must convey my special thanks to Ramswamy bhattar for providing food to me and wife and kid.

Though we missed a few temples in and around Nangoor. I thought I was blessed to get the dharasan of Lord Vishnu. I think I and my wife has visited 49 Temples of the 108 Vaishanav Divya daysa temples, Hopefully by God grace I will able to visit those 106 Temples. Still a long way to go. My mother has seen more than 90+ of the 106 temples I think she is blessed.

I am posting this blog very late due to my laziness and other factors.

Tamil Nadu Local Body Elections

My Company gave a holiday yesterday to give people a chance to case their votes. I did cast my vote as a responsible citizen. Yesterday local body elections in Chennai was a shame on democracy due to large scale rigging and violence. I am not sure why political parties on Tamil Nadu restore to unethic means to capture power. What I read media is that large scale violence is let out by the goondas. I am not sure why voting machine wasn't used instead manual stamping was used. The political parties blame each other for the voilence and riggging.

I hope people will teach a lesson in future to the political parties.

ASP.Net Training

Last Thursday(12-Oct-2006) I took a session on ASP.Net for Entry level trainees of my company. I covered basic concepts of ASP.Net, talked about web.config, global.asax and machine.config and error handling at different levels. The session went from 11.00 AM to 18.00 PM, intial 45 minutes was lecture followed by hands on session.

Somebody else was supposed to take this session, I took over at the last minute and I thought it was hands on session only after reaching the class room I came to know that I was supposed to give a expert lecture before the hands session any how no problems for me as it was my favorite topic.

I will keep posted regarding the feedback I got from the training.

Art of Interviewing

Interviewing is one of the softskills which Project Lead, Architects and Project Manger and above is suppossed to have. Lot of sofware companies are giving training on how to take the interview. I haven't attended any of those interview soft skill classes.

Last saturday(07-Oct-2006) I got yet another opportunity to interview few people in my newly joined company . The things I look for fundamentally strong basics and willing to learn. At the end of it I could select one person.
